I
have not even been able to determine the time-frame of her artworks. Not one of
the publications had a date in it anywhere. No dates in references, letters,
stories, etc. Only one letter referred back to an occasion in 1915.
The
format of every magazine featuring her artworks was nearly identical to that of
the “London Life” magazines from the 1920’s through the early 1940’s.
Type fonts are identical, spacing is identical, and the “feel” of the
publications are identical. They were all published in London as well.
Her
work is beautiful. Her Ladies are the most feminine creatures I’ve ever seen.
The lingerie is exquisite. Wild makeup – jewels – embroidered stockings –
outrageous and very sexy dresses – hats & veils - tiny feet in impossibly
tall high-heels.
I
would truly appreciate any information any of you can share about this seemingly
unknown artist.
