Ever since I can remember I’ve had a strong interest in art. At age seven my parents had me take painting lessons, and from then on my attraction to art has increased steadily.

Even then I had a sensuous twist to my work. Often I shocked my teachers by drawing nudes, but never was I scolded, only encouraged. Since moving to Southern California I have really concentrated on my erotic art. I’ve met a number of people who enjoy erotic art, and some have commissioned me to do some pieces for them.

I enjoy doing art that expresses human emotions. I have always wanted my characters to radiate considerable energy, and in doing more erotic forms of art I can achieve this to a high degree. I feel that sex – and sexual foreplay – are the most emotional and enjoyable instincts that we human possess. But, alas, art work that deals with blunt eroticism is difficult to find in this country.

It is rare to find a gallery with erotic art, and even if they do show sensuality it is a milder form; nothing involving the actual sex act. I have located books on eastern art, but western erotic art is difficult to locate.

I personally have never seen the subject of bondage and associated fetishes in any art books. I feel that the subjects of B&D and fetish art work will find more recognition and acceptance during the next decade. Art is for everyone, and should express all attitudes in society, not just a few.

Bondage itself is somewhat of an art form. It is a creative way to entertain and enjoy oneself. The style and technique of a person fulfilling their fantasy is always uniquely different.

In art, social pressures should be put away, and the true personality of the artist freed. In kinky sex the same metamorphosis occurs. People are freed from social pressures. There is no longer the judgment passed; that the man be dominant and the woman passive. Everyone can express their own emotions without worrying about their sex roles. They can make their own choice. It is healthy for adults to let loose and enjoy life, especially in these hard times. So many of us feel stifled and suppressed living in today’s society.

Besides doing erotic art on a small scale I also like to do murals. Living space should be dynamic and enjoyable. I recently completed my first erotic mural. I met a married couple who wanted their portraits on the walls of various rooms, four in all. They posed for me nude, picked out their sexiest poses, (from the photos I took), and I painted them on their walls. I’ve done other murals, but these were the most enjoyable. It was very gratifying to create an intimate background for their visual pleasure.

When an artist works on a comic strip or an animation film, they can create intricate personality traits that literally brings art to life. I enjoy the sense of being not only the artist, but also the writer, director, and editor. I like the idea of creating the illusions of life.

Besides doing two-dimensional art I would like to do more sculpture. I would like to do a large form out of plaster, the subject involving sexual themes, based upon one of the Shakesperean plays. I want to try my hand at larger and more complex projects.

Besides doing erotic art work, I also enjoy creating art that is centered around our changing times – relating to social attitudes and politics. I feel that art should be a documentation of an era.

Opinions and insight should also be expressed in an art piece. It is important to look at art not only as a decorative piece, but also for the interpretative message behind it. Creativity is an enjoyable and informative instinct that has been bestowed upon us as humans.

Reb’s Notes on Oke

I absolutely love it when a female fetish artist appears on the scene. The majority of artists are male…so I find it extremely refreshing when a talented woman shares her portfolio. Their approach to their art is somehow distinct. I can’t explain it in so many words, but it has a different feel to it. I especially find her Spotted corset art piece to be a beautiful creation. I enlarged it in my darkroom and have it framed in one of my playrooms. It is one of those pieces that must be displayed!!
